On behalf of the FABA Board of Directors (BoD), I’m writing to let you know that we have opened the nomination process for new members to be elected to the FABA Board. This year, three Board positions need to be filled via the election process: 1) President-Elect, and 2) two Members-at-Large positions. Brief descriptions of the offices and the respective duties will appear on the nomination form for your consideration. You will need to log in to your FABAWorld account in order to complete your nominations.
As a FABA member, you are eligible to nominate up to two (2) individuals for the President-Elect position and up to four (4) individuals for the two Member-at-Large positions (an additional position was added and is detailed below). You may self-nominate. Members with the most nominations in each category will form the slate of election candidates.
Please note that only current Professional and Sustaining members may submit nominations, be nominated, or be elected to serve on the FABA Board.
FABA is dedicated to promoting excellence in the practice of behavior analysis and advancing the understanding of human behavior. We believe that our Members-at-Large benefit from having experience with being in a board position and interfacing with the FABA Board of Directors through serving as an executive officer of a local chapter (President, Vice President, Secretary, or Treasurer).
Thus, FABA is seeking a behavior analyst who has served on the board of one of the local chapters to fill one (1) Member-at-Large position*. To be considered for nomination, candidates must meet all the requirements of the Member-at Large position, and must also currently be, or have previously served as an executive officer of a local chapter within the last 10 years. This is an incredible opportunity for dedicated individuals who have served their local behavior analytic communities to continue to contribute to shaping the future of our field.
Before nominating any individual, please consider that person's ability to devote the time needed to fulfill the duties on the Board. The President-Elect and Members-at-large roles include a 3-year commitment. Individuals in those roles engage in a variety of committees and are expected to participate in legislative activities for the benefit of the membership.

After submission, you cannot revise your ballot or submit additional ballots. Your submission is tied to your unique FABA member ID and email address so that nobody else can make a submission in your name. The website and nomination process are protected with security methods to ensure the confidentiality of your submission. All nominations must be submitted by Wednesday, July 3rd, 2024 at 11:59 PM. Elections will follow the nomination process.
