Membership Information

Members of FABA come from a variety of backgrounds, including consulting firms, state government programs, private therapy practices and school administrators. The organization's purpose is to serve these individuals' continuing education needs and network professionals as the field continues to develop and expand. The FABA Membership year runs from January 1 - December 31, regardless of when a Member joins or renews. Membership is nonrefundable.

Who Should Join FABA?

Anyone interested in human behavior is welcome to join. FABA is open to university and college faculty, basic and applied researchers, professionals and practitioners in behavior analysis, behavior therapy, or related professions such as psychiatry, education, social work, nursing, rehabilitation, physical, speech, music, and occupational therapy. Our members include behavior analysts, psychologists, behavior program supervisors, administrators, program directors, direct care staff, and students.

Professional Representation
FABA has retained the services of a respected law firm to represent the interests of FABA members in the legislature. 

Continuing Education for Licensed Psychologists
FABA members who are licensed psychologists in Florida may enroll for psychology CE credits at the conference (usually from 6-12 hours are offered). FABA offers CEs through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.

FABA Newsletter – The Observer
Our newsletter publishes the latest information on behavior analysis in Florida. Interviews with prominent behavior analysts, program descriptions, and summaries of the latest research can all be found in this highly readable publication.

Networking
The FABA member network covers all of Florida and the local chapters, which stretch from Tallahassee to Miami, offer members the opportunity to exchange ideas, job leads, research and treatment strategies and professional support.

Code of Ethics
FABA has adopted the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) Guidelines for responsible conduct for behavior analysts. The code emphasizes the responsibility of all members to uphold the highest standard of ethics when applying behavioral procedures. Upon joining, FABA members agree to abide and uphold the code.

  • Annual Fee:  $50
  • Eligible for continuing education credits

Paraprofessional (Behavior Technician)

  • Annual Fee:  $25
  • Not eligible for continuing education credits

Other Professional

  • Annual Fee:  $50
  • Eligible for continuing education credits

Parent

  • Annual Fee:  $25
  • Not eligible for continuing education credits

Student

  • Annual Fee:  $25
  • Not eligible for continuing education credits
  • Additional verification may be required

Doctoral Student

  • Annual Fee:  $25
  • Eligible for continuing education credits
  • Additional verification may be required

Sustaining Member

  • Annual Fee:  $125
