The FABA Public Policy Committee (PPC) received numerous emails from members and non-members expressing frustration over the need for additional communication regarding the upcoming transition to Managed Care. In response, the PPC urged AHCA to provide more detailed information, including guidance on billing and renewal authorizations during the CoC. Emphasizing the importance of continued communication, the PPC advocated for one final online event to share vital information with providers.

The event, held on January 24th at 1 PM, was attended by over 600 providers. AHCA has since shared the handouts from that event with the PPC, which we are now distributing to providers. Additionally, AHCA has added more resource links on their website and encouraged providers to report any irregularities or failures to meet the 60-day requirement for SMMC Health Plans.

Furthermore, AHCA issued a memorandum mandating automatic renewals of authorizations during the CoC. FABA PPC extends its gratitude to members for their willingness to voice their concerns during this stressful transition period.
