The countdown is on! The 2024 Florida Association for Behavior Analysis conference is just around the corner, and we can’t wait to see you in Miami! This year’s event promises to be an incredible opportunity to network with colleagues, learn from expert researchers and practitioners, and stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in behavior analysis.
This year three (3) Executive Committee positions need to be filled via the election process. You are requested to select one (1) candidate for the President-Elect position, and one (1) candidate for each of the two Member-at-Large positions. Note that one of the Member-at-Large positions is being filled by a candidate that has held an officer position on one of FABA’s local chapters across the state (CoFABA).
On behalf of the FABA Board of Directors (BoD), I’m writing to let you know that we have opened the nomination process for new members to be elected to the FABA Board. This year, three Board positions need to be filled via the election process: 1) President-Elect, and 2) two Members-at-Large positions. Brief descriptions of the offices and the respective duties will appear on the nomination form for your consideration. You will need to log in to your FABAWorld account in order to complete your nominations.
FABA has been made aware of a recent letter from Sunshine Health to its contracted ABA providers. FABA is aware that the letter references a 20% cut in reimbursement rates. While FABA cannot advise providers how to respond to the letter, any reduction in reimbursement will have negative implications for providers and their clients.
On behalf of the FABA Board of Directors, we would like to extend a call for nominations for the annual FABA Awards. Again this year, the annual Awards and Recognition Ceremony will take place as the opening of the general session for the keynote address on Thursday, September 19, 2024.
