I think FABA should focus on getting rid of the MEDICAID XP code. We have to break our sessions to create saparate notes and submit claims with zero reimbursement rate. And the one of the providers is not even paid for the service that is overlapping in nature. How can they require 2 providers for a service to be povided and pay for only one?
I appreciate the town hall and the information. What is upsetting and frustrating is the comments that as BCBA's we are expected to work more hours for free. What profession in the world expects their employees to work 12 hours and be paid for 6? Client assessments should be individualized I agree. Quality is important absolutely. Expecting to spend up to 24 hours and then being paid for far less is a way to completely extinguish this profession. BCBA's are high level practitioners that invest a lot of time into our clients and their families. We can not afford to do this for free and sacrifice our own families in the process.
