Continuing Education earned through FABA

FABA is a BACB approved continuing education (ACE) provider, OP-02-0014. All CEs earned by attendees at a FABA event are Type 2 CEs. Many of the events meet the Professional and Ethical (PEL) requirement set by the BACB, and are noted as such in programs and attendance records.

Verifying CEUs earned with FABA

Beginning in 2017, FABA partnered with to maintain records of your CEUs earned. not only retains FABA CEUs, but also those CEUs you may have earned at other ABA events, thus making it convenient to track your total CEU picture. We hope this simplifies your recertification process. To look up your information, simply log in to here. By selecting a transaction, you will be able to print out a duplicate certificate that includes what sessions were attended, who the presenter was, the number of credits earned and FABA’s ACE provider number.

For information on CEUs earned prior to 2017, please send a note to [email protected] along with the year you need to verify. A replacement letter will be emailed to you. Please allow three business days for processing.

Licensed Mental Health Professionals

Continuing education (CE) for Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), and Licensed Marriage & Family Therapists (LMFT) is offered at the FABA conference. Approximately 20 CEs may be earned by attending the annual conference.


FABA is an Approved Continuing Education (ACE) provider for Florida and Board Certified Associate Behavior Analysts and Certified Behavior Analysts. Approximately 20 CEs may be earned by attending the annual conference.


Types of CEs

Below is a list of the types of CEs the Behavior Analyst Certification Board accepts.    For more information on any type, please click on the number to be redirected to

1 College or university coursework None – all CE can come from this type 50 minutes of instruction = 1 CEU
2 CE issued by authorized continuing education (ACE) providers None – all CE can come from this type 50 minutes of instruction = 1 CEU
3 Non-authorized events 25% can come from this type* 50 minutes = 1 CEU
4 Instruction of Type 1 or Type 2 50% can come from this type* 50 minutes of instruction = 1 CEU
5 CE issued by the BACB directly 25% can come from this type* Determined by BACB
6 Take and pass the certification exam again All CE will be fulfilled by this activity Passing the exam equals 100% of your required CE, except for supervision
7 Scholarly Activities 25% can come from this type* One publication = 8 CEUs One review = 1 CEU

*A maximum of 75% of the total required CE may come from categories 3, 4, 5 and 7. At least 25% must come from Type 1 or Type 2. Passing the exam (Type 6) meets all CE requirements except for supervision.

Licensed Psychologists

Continuing education (CE) for Psychologists is offered at the FABA conference which is co-sponsored by the Association for Behavior Analysis which is approved by the American Psychological Association to offer continuing education. Approximately 6 to 12 CEs may be earned by attending the annual conference.

Please Note: Those with multiple certification/licensure must remit fees for each type of CE credit sought.

Need to pay for CEUs?

We encourage conference attendees to pay the CEU Flat Rate fee during registration. This simplifies the process on our end and makes the verification of CEUs with easier.  However, if you have not already paid the CEU Flat Rate fee, please email [email protected] so that we can generate that invoice.  Invoices can be paid immediately online via credit card. Or if you prefer to mail a check, please mail it to:  FABA, 3116 Capital Circle NE, Suite 2, Tallahassee, FL 32308. Please make checks payable to FABA. Do not send in cash. Please do not send it via a service that requires a signature to be delivered. FABA can not accept letters/packages requiring a signature and they will be returned to you.

All previously earned, unpaid CEUs must be postmarked within 30 days of the event in which they were earned. CEU payments mailed more than 30 days after the event will be returned to sender.
